… Intentionally Offensive Since 2006

We looked awful on my birthday, scoring a season low 7 points against the Iggles. I have not been too critical of Owens this season, hoping his talent might someday shine brighter than his mouth. He dropped 2 critical passes that would have sustained drives at crucial points in the game. My take, get rid of him in the off-season. Hopefully Jerry has some wiggle room in T.O.’s contract to cut him loose and not be heavily penalized in the salary cap. Good news is, the cap is getting raised some 12 million $ next year, so we might be able to replace him with a good free-agent.

Our current need is to beat the Lions on Sunday. We will have to play better, on both sides of the ball to do anything in the playoffs, much less against Detroit. They only lost to the Bears by 5 points last week, 26-21.

We can only hope that the Eagles suffer the Cowboys Hangover and lose to Atlanta. That gives us the Division title with a win over Detroit. We all need to be big Falcons fans on Sunday.

Our Offensive line got beaten up by Philly. Our Defense was kept off-balance all day. We made a mediocre team look like it was loaded with All-Pro’s. This is a coaching issue. Parcells says, “We need to play better.” Duh! If he’d coach better they’d have a chance! On our first possession, we drove to their 40 yard line, had a second and one….AND PUNTED! No trick play. No fake punt. No victory. On our second possession, after the Anthony Henry interception, we had second and goal from the one….AND DIDN’T SCORE! No trick play. No fake field goal. No victory. The Eagles knew what we were going to do before we did. Julius and MB3 were running into the pile with no openings. Tony never pulled the 4th down play action fake toss to Witten.

Do I need to coach this team?

God help me if we’re one and done in the playoffs.

I will continue to bleed blue and silver.

Go Cowboys!

Cowboys Nation,
The Boys took care of business in Hotlanta last Saturday night. At the same time, however, we continue to be in the holiday gift giving spirit in the form of opposing teams’ touchdown passes. In the last two games we have given up 9 TD passes. Any performance close to that will result in a loss to the annoying Eagles. Clearly an inferior team. They’re not even good enough to hate. They do hate us though, with good reason. Let’s just say that our 5 Lombardi trophies to their zero is a sweet ratio.

Bill listened last week and benched Keith Davis at free safety, and started Pat Watkins. Good move. This week is all about the line play. We need to step up and protect Tony Romo at all costs, or we’re going to see some seriously damaging turnovers against this Eagles defense. On the other side of the ball, we have to get in Garcia’s face, or he’ll pick us apart with those short dinky passes. He can’t connect on the deep throw. Their only hope deep is the pass interference call. Keep Roy Williams up close to the line, stop the run, and make ‘em pay for the short stuff. He can cause a fumble or two.

And somebody please tell Julius Jones to run to the opening, not into the big pile in front of him.

Look for Bill to call a trick play or two in this game. Either a fake punt at midfield or possibly a fake field goal if we get stopped inside the five yard line. Tony Romo is our field goal holder you know. He could easily pull it down, bootleg out to the left, and throw a TD pass to the blocking tight end on a field goal try/fake.

It’s Dirty Birds Part II on Christmas Day in Big D. We need to win this one.

p.s. The Saints suffered the “Cowboys Hangover”. Just like Philly, NYG, and the Foreskins, when they beat Dallas, they end up losing in the next few weeks.

Every team gears up and plays their best football against us. If they actually get lucky and beat us, they inevitably suffer an emotional letdown following their win.

Let’s hope the Giants can beat the Saints and put us in the #2 playoff position.

Go Cowboys!

Cowboys Nation,
OK, so we lost to a team that we had beaten soundly in the preseason. The Saints are a much better team now than they were then.

I just wish that asswipe Sean Payton could’ve coached like that when he was on the Cowboys’ staff. We now have to attend to the business at hand.

We have to play better and beat two playoff contenders and a really crappy Detroit team in the next three weeks. In this league, you’re only as good as your last game.

That being said, we suck. Now is the time to kick some ass, play Cowboys football, knock the Falcons and the Eagles out of the playoff picture, and go into the post-season playing the best football of the year. We need some serious help at free safety. Keith Davis needs to be benched. Let him play special teams. That’s all he’s good at. Parcells needs to pull his head out of his ass and start calling some decent plays. DO NOT abandon the running game just because you’re down by a touchdown!

More ranting to come, laid’er.
